- A builder is a believer, who has heard the truths of salvation. He knows that Jesus Christ is God's Son and that He is the way the truth and the life. He knows that all have sinned (Rm. 3:23) and that the wages of sin is death (Rm. 6:23). And at some point he has surrendered his life to God and has received His free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ (Ep. 2:8-9). But, it does not stop here! Once he has been introduced to Christ, he begins developing and deepening his relationship and walk with God. Like a husband and wife relationship, he spends time with God on a regular basis and gets to know Him better every day.
- He spends time with God in the Scripture regularly.
- He applies it to his own life rather than his neighbor's. Because of his time with God in His Word, he has something that focuses his life and something real and alive to share with his children or students. Then he is a building generation.
