Creative Activity Ideas 

Costumes:  robe for shepherd; white towel over back of kneeling child for lamb; net for queen; robe for king; crowns

Cotton balls:  to make lambs, clouds

Crafts:  relate them to the lessons, keep them simple with the emphasis on the process rather than the product for little ones

File folder games:  make up ahead of time and use as beginning and ending games; match shapes, sizes, colors, opposites; sequencing, etc.; easy to store and useful with various lessons

Film strips:  should be used to enhance the focus of the story only when appropriate

Fiberfill:  use for stuffing, clouds, making lambs

Finger plays:  action poems to use as transitions or to enhance the focus of the lesson

Fishing:  wood dowel, string, magnets, fish shapes

Flannel board:  and felt shapes

Flashlight:  illustrate darkness and light; focus on an object; night time story

Gadget board:  use it for a manipulative learning activity, perhaps to relate to a building project
