Prepare Personally

Prepare Your Heart

Complete the daily study section of the lesson as you allow God to prepare your heart for what He wants the children to learn (Pr. 2:1-6; Jos. 1:9). Then continue to allow God to prepare by completing the Prepare to Share page. It is important for teachers to spend time getting to know God and allowing Him to rule their lives before they try to teach truths about Him to someone else. Beginning early will allow the Holy Spirit to bring personal application and lesson ideas to mind throughout the week.

Know and Apply

God wants our attention and worship first, and then He wants our words and actions to those around us to be appropriate (Mt. 22:37-39). We must know what God says in His Word before we can determine what He wants us to do. Knowledge without application can lead to "immunization" to the truth and hardness through pride. True knowledge will be evidenced by the power one has to live a transformed life.
