Large Preschool Group: Expect Cooperation

Movement
Some restlessness is expected and acceptable. Even in the middle of a story you can have children stretch their fingers and lay them in their laps again, or stretch their feet and cross them again.

Disturbances
Excessive disturbances must be dealt with expediently by removal and/or isolation. An assigned assistant teacher should take the excessively disruptive child out.

    • Ask: Ask the child to tell what the child was doing when he or she was taken out.

    • Remind: Remind the child that everyone is to sit quietly while the teacher is talking.

    • Pray and evaluate: Pray with the child about the wrong action, and ask if he or she is ready to listen quietly. If so, take the child back to the group. If not, the child should sit quietly for a few minutes and think about what should be done. Then talk with the child again the same as before.

    • Return: Return the child to the group when he or she is ready to cooperate. For more extreme disturbances contact the parent. (See the section on discipline for further information.)

Your current web browser must be updated to version 7 of Internet Explorer (IE7) to take advantage of all of template's capabilities.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.

Get free downloads for Internet Explorer 7, including recommended updates as they become available. To download Internet Explorer 7 in the language of your choice, please visit the Internet Explorer 7 worldwide page.
