Character Qualities The dictionary describes character as a distinctive trait, quality or attribute; an essential quality; nature; kind or sort; an individual's pattern of behavior or personality; moral strength; fortitude; reputation; and a description of the traits or qualities of a person. The focus is on a child's relationship with God. Without salvation there is no ability to achieve appropriate character qualities. Pointing these things out to children should help them recognize their need of a Savior. The chart below shows some contrasting character qualities. Encourage strengths, and work on one or two weaknesses at a time. Positive qualities are in alphabetical order on the left.
