Primary/Junior Scheduling Scheduling Choices Planned activity helps provide control for class time. Alternate active and quiet events, making sure each event is related to the focus of the passage as much as possible. The morning should start with a calm event. Provide a more active event after the story time. Move from one area of the room to another with a directed transition to provide opportunity for movement. End the morning with calmness so students can take home pleasant thoughts rather than frenzy. Observe needs and arrange schedules accordingly. Combined or Separate Classes? Begin with all the students, a department of classes, or individual classes. Any of these is appropriate depending on your desires and facilities. |
