Presenting the Story: Introduction Present the current passage of God's truth in story form so young children develop a love and hunger for God's Word (1 Pt. 3:15). God has provided many illustrations and explanations in His Word in story form. Your stories should also illustrate and explain His truths. As a parent you may want to read the story summary as provided. The following ideas will give you guidelines for determining story content and thoughts to provide variety when you need it, especially when several children are involved. Simplify Truth As you are simplifying and clarifying a passage for students, resist any urge to adjust the facts to "bring it down" to a student's level. They may be confused and disillusioned later when the story is accurately presented. God does not reveal everything to us about Himself, but what He does reveal is completely accurate even though we cannot understand it all any more than a student can understand everything which is taught. Keep in mind, though, that students understand much more about God and His truths than many people think possible.
