Creative Activity Ideas: Happy and Sad Faces Happy and sad faces: use contrasts for attitude comparisons (Mount on a large popsicle stick like a large Housekeeping corner: cooking dishes, cleaning items: broom, dust rag, dolls with clothes and blankets, dress up: hats, purses, shirts, shoes, mirror, grocery store, post office Magnets: observe the actions and reactions Magnifying glass: use it to observe nature, etc. Maps: make a puzzle, hang on wall, use string to mark places, outline areas with string, outline on the floor Matching: match sizes, shapes, colors, animals, pictures, use concentration/matching cards Measurement: yard stick, scale Medical supplies: band aids, cotton balls, doctor kit, sling, stethoscope Money: play coins, hide and find, match, pay taxes, do giving Music: beginning or ending activity, tapes, records Nature: animals, plants, bird seed (bread and peanut butter) Objects: feel and guess in a sock; look and describe; remove one of three, guess which is missing |
