Creative Activity Idea: Drawing

Introduction

Children may enjoy drawing a picture to be used in such ways as:

  • sending to a nursing home
  • sending to a missionary
  • illustrating a verse as a gift
  • decorating and mounting a verse
  • illustrating a lesson truth
  • sequencing a lesson with 3-5 illustrations

Talented or Not

Some children may have artistic talent or creativity. These should be encouraged. Many students can be taught to look at a good drawing or painting and copy that work, perhaps using graph paper. Colored pencils and markers may add interest. We recommend that you avoid trying to draw or portray Jesus.
