Creative Activity Ideas A-L

Art can be used at various times in the schedule

  • Collages - nature, pictures, yarn, fabric

  • Coffee filters - with food coloring

  • Construction paper - use in all sorts of ways 

  • Crayons - for coloring pictures

  • Crayon shavings - use to make a multicolored crayon for rubbings

  • Fabric scraps - make a sticky board with spray adhesive, children arrange shapes

  • Fiberfill -for stuffing, clouds, lambs

  • Finger painting - use shaving cream

  • Food coloring - use with salt to show blending of colors

  • Glitter - fun at Christmas time for older children (keep out of eyes)

  • Glue - provide a small puddle of glue and q-tips

  • Hidden pictures - draw with white candle, paint to discover drawing
