Creative Activity Ideas

Animals: pictures, real (with caution), or stuffed

Balls: of yarn, foam, or beanbags

  • toss into boxes each with a word and/or picture description to go with story focus

  • toss into rope outlined river, field, etc.

  • toss to a quietly seated child's lap, child stands to toss it back into a basket, use as an ending activity or other transition activity

  • child tosses to a picture that goes with the story, talk about the picture

  • toss from one child to the next and say the children's names, include each child
